Questions

What people ask before they hire us, answered the way we would at your kitchen table.

How do you price a project?

Every project starts with a visit to see the space and hear what you want. Small jobs can often be priced on the spot. Larger projects take a few days to price properly, because we measure, check materials and confirm costs before we give you a number. You get a written estimate that lists the work and the materials, and any change after that is agreed in writing before it happens.

Do you require a deposit?

For larger projects, such as kitchens, bathrooms, fences, stone walls, flower beds and outdoor builds, we ask for a 35% deposit before work begins. It holds your place on the schedule and orders your materials. Smaller jobs like mowing, cleanups and repairs need no deposit: you pay when the work is done.

How long will it take, and can I live in my home during the work?

It depends on the scope. A bathroom, a kitchen and a backyard build each run on their own clock, and custom cabinetry or stone can add lead time before the work starts. You get a schedule with your estimate, and we tell you early if something shifts. We plan the order of work so the rest of your home stays as usable as possible.

Can you build what I have pictured?

Yes. You do not have to choose from a catalog of our designs. Bring whatever you have: photos, a sketch, a saved board or just a feeling. We build to your vision and tell you honestly what will work, what will cost more than it is worth and what we would change. The details that make a job look custom, like how a joint is cut or where a seam lands, are where our time goes.

Why solid pine cabinets?

Solid wood is built, not assembled from panels. Pine takes stain beautifully, holds joinery that lasts, and can be repaired if daily life leaves a mark. Each cabinet is cut, fitted and finished for your room instead of picked from a catalog size, which is why the whole kitchen reads as one piece.

Do I need a permit or HOA approval?

Often, yes. Pergolas, walls, fences, outdoor kitchens and any work that moves plumbing, gas or electrical can require a city permit or an HOA signoff, depending on your address. During the site visit we tell you what applies and build to what your city requires. HOA reviews can take a while, so starting early helps.

Which areas do you serve?

Rockwall, Hunt and Collin County, Texas. If you are just outside those lines, call and ask. We will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Is it too late to book Christmas lighting?

The last day to schedule this season is December 13. After that date we book the next season. We light rooflines, windows and trees in the colors you choose: classic warm white, snow white, multicolor or a pair that matches your home.

What if something needs attention later?

Call us. Our name is on the work, so we would rather hear about a small problem early than have you live with it. Your written agreement spells out what is covered and for how long.

How do I get started?

Call 903-243-9884 and tell us what you are picturing. We will set a time to walk the site, listen, and give you a straight answer on what it takes.
